What color shoes do you wear with navy?

It's looking like my spring/summer wardrobe this year will include a lot of navy bottoms. Aside from navy itself and white, what color shoes would you pair with navy? I feel like indigo denim is a bit more forgiving than a flat navy fabric and can go with a wider variety of shoe colors.

In warmer weather I would wear nude or skin colored shoes/sandals. Tan too.

Besides the ones you listed, all shades of nudes/tans/cognac, all shades of metallic, animal prints (snakeskin, leopard),blush, sour/bright colors like citron and orange for accent. I also like burgundy shoes with navy, even though it is more of a fall color, I like it in warm weather too

Personally for my own style I would pair with cognac, tan, light gray, white, and gold. Pretty much anything goes though!

The question is what wouldn't I wear with navy? And I can't really think of an answer. In my opinion navy bottoms work with just about any colour or neutral. I have and do wear with: black, ink, grey, cognac, tan, nude, pewter, burgundy or plum, red, fuchsia or pink, green, leopard, python, yellow or mustard, gold. I haven't tried orange because it's not represented in my wardrobe, but I would. Ditto to a floral print.

Because my hair is brown, I usually wear brown shoes with navy. If my outfit has another color in it in addition to navy, and I want to repeat it, then I do that with shoes--gray shoes with a navy and gray outfit, for example.

I have a hard time with what footwear to wear with navy too. Last summer I wore nude sandals with navy mostly. I also have started building up quite the collection of shoes in an almost taupey gray or pewter color that goes nicely with navy, such as the ones in my attached find, but they're not always metallic.

My preference is for grey, silver and pewter, but, for those with darker hair, I agree that cognac and browns are good choices. Black is good, too, but maybe not for summer.

Anything and everything, plus black. There is a pic of Ines de la F burned into my memory where she's wearing the best , slouchiest cropped navy trousers with black suede kitten heel pumps and a white t-shirt. SO sophisticated and chic.

i wear a lot of navy, and my biggest surprise was how well grey (both light and dark, examples below) footwear works….in fact i think i like it better than nude….i also like printed shoes with navy, and love cognac with any, but i'm struggling to find a great cognac shoe…and i'm actively looking for a replacement pair of red shoes.

I happened to see this picture and thought it was very interesting. Both men are wearing navy suits, but Obama is wearing black shoes and Trudeau is wearing brown.

I wear a lot of navy and I treat it like a true neutral and wear all my footwear with it.

Almost anything. Depending on what else I was wearing, white, print, blue, pink, plum, purple, red, green, grey. The only reason I wouldn't wear brown or tan is that I don't wear them at all. I think navy is a flexible colour, and the shoes colours that look best depend on the other colours in the outfit and whether you want shoes that pop or not.

I used to try to wear navy with navy, and often struggled to find it, but a couple of years ago I got silver sandals, and didn't even miss not having any navy sandals that year. I'd also wear black, esp in winter.

I wear my black or brown boots, green flats, light brown sandals, black wedges, but my favorite is navy sandals. They are wearing out though so I'm reading these answers with interest.
