I spend the most on shoes and boots, for sure.... probably coats after that. Until yesterday, the most I had spent on a handbag was $70. I've now broken that and hope to buy nicer ones as I slowly replace my cheapies. So bags are third in line.

I love jewelry but love inexpensive artsy stuff, often made out of sterling silver.

I'm willing now to spend most on glasses, jeans and coats...the things I wear the most.

Interesting question! I am in the middle of "copying" Kate's excell spreadsheet and recording all of my clothes, footwear, accessories, etc. and figuring out CPW. So far, it looks as though I spend more on accessories - shoes and handbags - than I do on clothes. For clothes, I spend more on jeans than anything else - as well, as bras. However, the CPW for jeans and bras is waaaaay low - so that's a good thing - I think it means I've got my wardrobe "needs/likes" figured out. Still trying to figure out the handbags and shoes though. Unfortunately, I've got several very expensive handbags and a couple of pair of expensive shoes that I've never worn. Gulp - I LOVE them too - can't figure out why I haven't worn them - maybe bought them for my fantsay life?

Marley, you are very brave doing the spreadsheet... I would be scared to see how much my "bargains" add up to... I did one year get a special card from a retailer because I had spent so much during the year which made me keel over since this is where I usually whip in to buy tshirts for both myself and my husband (OK he might get a couple of pairs of shorts a year too)... but given I don't do their shoes, bags, suits, skirts etc, that was quite sobering. In response to one of Angie's posts the other day of what do you like in your favourite outfits, I also wrote down what I purge most - now THAT was very interesting...

I don't buy cheap bags, I just buy one or two and use them a long time. Also, I haven't found a bag I love in a long time.

Dress pants for sure. I find pants hard to fit and I really try hard to get dress pants to fit me well.

I suppose winter coats too, but those I don't really even care how they look so I would classify that more as gear.

I'm most definitely with Joy. GLASSES are really pricey! And then jeans and coats. I will very occasionally spend a lot on a suit or dress or separate item, but in the overall scheme, I don't spend as much on these items. And I have pretty much frozen my collection of earrings. I SYC my earring collection and always find something I had "forgotten" that I had!

Overall shoes, but often my bra is the most expensive thing I am wearing.
