I didn't mention, but one of my absolutely favorite things about the summer months is not having to wear a coat/scarf/hat/gloves to leave the house!!

I can imagine that feels a very long way off for some of us...but it's a pretty early spring day here in Seattle (first day of daylight savings today - yes, I know it is a crazy concept to ppl outside - and some inside - the US) despite a flood warning still in effect. Hubby is washing the car before the rains come back!

This is a very timely thread, as in the last week or so my desire to shop has suddenly reawakened. In Feb, I bought only one thing, the Anthro rose print knit moto, and in January I bought my replacement Longchamp (a long planned and needed purchase) and the Blondo boots (another desperately needed item). But I hadn't really been feeling like shopping for fun things until really recently, when it was like a light suddenly turned on. I guess I'm feeling the spring fever now! It's not quite warm enough just yet to wear most spring things here (we may get more snow next week) but it's no longer deep arctic freeze weather. I am eyeing lots of fun things - all of the glorious florals around for spring, breezy tops, and interesting pants silhouettes in lighter weight fabrics like linen blends.

As for what is already in my closet? I am really excited to put away my wool coats and break out my leather jackets. Ditto for putting away snow boots and bringing back the fun, but not snowworthy boots and booties. Can't wait for bare ankle/leg weather to sport rolled BF jeans and booties or oxfords and floaty skirts with midcalf boots.

Yes! I have Spring fever, too! I know just that feeling. (-:

And...florals - I want to try the floral on floral trend! But I'm so picky about floral prints. I have one lovely watercolor-y silk blouse. I'd love a floral skirt...or, dare I say, a pair of floral slouchy pants?

Well, piperlime keeps showing me these in the sidebar. They are rather expensive though.

My Spring wardrobe has been on my mind way more often recently. One, because in Arkansas it's starting to get warm during the day (supposed to be 77 next Tuesday!) but it's ridiculously unpredictable (77 next Tuesday, followed by a high of 55 on Wednesday. Say what?!!). And two, my husband and I recently bought a Jeep Wrangler and we are DYING to rip that soft top off and CRUISE! So what better time to be excited about Spring fashion!

First and foremost, I'm ready for more opportunity to actually wear sunglasses! My mother bought me my long-time dream Prada 'Baroque' pair at Christmas 2013 and they are one of my 'pride and joy' pieces of my entire wardrobe. These alone could make me ready for Spring

Otherwise, I'm SO ready to wear my warm weather staples: loose fitting tops, little shorts, and strappy sandals or wedges (the only heel I'll ever wear with shorts!). I tend to stick with that basic concept, with additions of maxi dresses, high-low tops, button-down styles in sheer fabrics and bright colors, black, white and fun colors like yellow short shorts, and flowy yet edgy tanks. I'm also excited about my recently purchased distressed white skinnies and black tribal print mini skirt (both from Express) and gray cigarette jeans from J. Crew that fit like they were custom made and perfect with metallic sandals! And I always love a Nautical look-stripes, chain jewelry and Sperry Topsiders!

My style tends to be a little more boho during the warmer months, but still full of edgy touches like jewelry and lots of black (no matter the season!). I like to feel unfussy and easy. I do love shorts, but hate feeling like I'm trying too hard to dress them up, so wedges are my go-to Spring shoe for a change in height! My new pair that I'm slightly obsessed with from Lucky Brand may be SUPER high, but still manage to have an easy, cool 70s vibe. With leather and studs?! Please, I was immediately puddy in the salesman's hands! Haha!

Hope everyone has had a FABULOUS weekend!

I'm looking forward to leaving the house without a coat over my jackets and blazers. And sporting my boyfriend jeans without boots.

Wearing more delicate shoes (love boots, but variety is nice), midi skirts, and a new floral pencil skirt I bought.

Also interesting short sleeves, love the one's Cocolion posted.

Diana's link is giving me an art project idea. I'm seeing a lot of free-hand painted look florals on silk lately. How hard would this be to do with some silk paint/ink and a white shirt? I've painted silk scarves before using resist to get neat lines and this would be much easier if you are just working very big and loose.
