My Spring wardrobe has been on my mind way more often recently. One, because in Arkansas it's starting to get warm during the day (supposed to be 77 next Tuesday!) but it's ridiculously unpredictable (77 next Tuesday, followed by a high of 55 on Wednesday. Say what?!!). And two, my husband and I recently bought a Jeep Wrangler and we are DYING to rip that soft top off and CRUISE! So what better time to be excited about Spring fashion!
First and foremost, I'm ready for more opportunity to actually wear sunglasses! My mother bought me my long-time dream Prada 'Baroque' pair at Christmas 2013 and they are one of my 'pride and joy' pieces of my entire wardrobe. These alone could make me ready for Spring
Otherwise, I'm SO ready to wear my warm weather staples: loose fitting tops, little shorts, and strappy sandals or wedges (the only heel I'll ever wear with shorts!). I tend to stick with that basic concept, with additions of maxi dresses, high-low tops, button-down styles in sheer fabrics and bright colors, black, white and fun colors like yellow short shorts, and flowy yet edgy tanks. I'm also excited about my recently purchased distressed white skinnies and black tribal print mini skirt (both from Express) and gray cigarette jeans from J. Crew that fit like they were custom made and perfect with metallic sandals! And I always love a Nautical look-stripes, chain jewelry and Sperry Topsiders!
My style tends to be a little more boho during the warmer months, but still full of edgy touches like jewelry and lots of black (no matter the season!). I like to feel unfussy and easy. I do love shorts, but hate feeling like I'm trying too hard to dress them up, so wedges are my go-to Spring shoe for a change in height! My new pair that I'm slightly obsessed with from Lucky Brand may be SUPER high, but still manage to have an easy, cool 70s vibe. With leather and studs?! Please, I was immediately puddy in the salesman's hands! Haha!
Hope everyone has had a FABULOUS weekend!
