What I learned this week,
1. How did I live without White jeans - they are a workhorse in my wardrobe in the three weeks I have had them.

2. A casual capsule is wonderful - today I had a pool party to attend (I don't swim take way to long for my dreads to dry) and it was a cinch to figure out what to wear and I felt great.

3. The silhouette I like on myself best - pencil skirt or pants and a great dramatic topper

4. I am investing in the basic colors right now

5. Now this is the shocker of all shocker - I have a shopping list and am sticking to it. I have a tunic i love but never wear because I needed white leggings. When I went to my favorite boutique I saw some great black leggings with leather (pleather) down the sides. I loved them - the looked great on me, they were pretty, they are not on my shopping list for the year. I didn't buy them because they didn't fit my focus and were not on my list. This is entirely new thinking for me. Letting something pretty go because it doesn't contribute to creating a working wardrobe.

6. If you end up with a dud of an outfit take time to analyze why it is a dud.

7. I have not spent enough time investing in my casual wardrobe - I don't go to work every day and in the summer during summer hours I wear a much more of a casual wardrobe. (not shorts and tank top casual) I have to find the post again that describes the type of casual I do.

I am learning so much from YLF
