Oh Jules - forgot to say - no I can't do slingback - or anything without a strap to keep it on (MAJOR pain I know!!)

I can't help much with Australian sources, but I did want to say that feet can be trained to live with between-the-toe thongs. I usually spend my summers in that kind of sandal, but every year I have to rehabituate my feet to them. It's not hard. You just start wearing them around the house (even a pair of cheap rubber flip-flops would do for the breaking in process) until your feet have toughened up a bit. Once I'm used to them again, I find them kinder on my feet, with fewer issues, than almost any other kind of sandal.

Good luck with your hunt.

On a totally different note, I hope that bride is really pretty. She's going to need it to balance you out. ;o)

Haven't been on the boards at all lately. So excited to see this dress you've chosen for the wedding. It's gorgeous! I have no help with the shoes either. Just really wanted to say hi!

Hi Anne! I was with my sister when she tried these Wittners on 2 weeks ago. We are both cursed with ultrashort toes, so open toe designs rarely work for us - but she said that the mid heel height was just perfect, and that the style was surprisingly comfortable on her B/C width feet. She said she felt really secure in them; they did not slop around like regular slingbacks. They looked really glamorous on; well worth a look if you have regular length toes!

JR - thanks for advice re gettting used to the between the toe thing. Might give it a go this summer. Thanks for the compliment too!

Alecia - thanks and lovely to hear from you!!

LyrebirdGully - Wittner - I had forgotten to look there - had been meaning to - those shoes look great, and it is good to hear your sister's POV. Being secure is a big plus!

Deb - lovely, and great price but not a wedge!
