Hmm, I rarely shop high-end, so I don't have experience of it to fall back on. Una, if I understand what you're saying correctly, is there inherent size discrimination built into the designer labels? That the designers are catering to the smaller sizes in general, so to have a website that sticks to 0-6 is just like adding insult to injury?

Anna, I hope you know that you are not an abhorrent cow! I love seeing your outfits and think that you make those designer pieces sing.

Most designer sizes do run small, especially European designers in my experience. Angie has covered the topic before.

I think this site is aiming at the smaller/skinnier end but I'm not sure why as that's hardly an underserved demo. I'm sure their goal isn't explicitly to make anyone feel like a cow, and, of course, we can always shop elsewhere. But it does seem odd they'd stock more designers in fewer sizes, rather than the other way around.

Gigi, I don't know. But my guess is that there is no way to test whether larger sizes will buy high end if there are no clothes to buy!

Hm, I don't understand the clothes ordering system very well, but I thought to place an order you had to order multiples from each size. Or is that different for designer labels?

Basically The Dreslyn can go suck a big lemon. Even when they expand their offerings to include my heiferness I will not patronize their business.
Plenty of other place willing to accept my money and stock my size.

Anna, that is the BEST thing to take away from this - there are plenty of other fantastic retail fish in the sea.

All the extremely limited sizing and the smarmy declarations aside, the deal-breaker for me is the pop-up demand for my email address if I want to browse their site. I don't shop sites that require your email just to look, because I inevitably get spammed to death with email - and the unsubscribe option never really seems to work. It's a huge pet peeve of mine, and if I unsubscribe three times, and still get emails, it goes to spam.
