I mostly buy off season to keep the spend down. It works for me because I have a classic style and so am buying pieces that will last for years. I keep lists of what I need and what I don’t so I don’t buy another pair of black pants when I really need some color. I then use some budget in season if I see new colors that draw my attention and seem fleeting or if I find something to fill a gap I have had a long time. This year I bought matching sets of accessories like scarfs and mittens or leather gloves that are hard to find on clearance.

Cindy, here are some virtual hugs from my son & me. He wants to see his geandparents. We used to be with them for all of Christmas, don’t have any traditions of our own because my mom insisted on that. Now it could be my dad’s last Christmas & they are afraid to have us come home. My son has his mama, but he wants his grandma & grandpa! We thought of insisting, because we really think it’s worse where they are than where we are, but he is old enough to realize that the resultant tension would not be the joy & harmony he’s looking for.

I learnt to integrate new pieces immediately here on ylf. Now I prioritze in-season shopping, try clothes on in different combinations and only keep when I'm excited to wear tha t same week, say.
