Ugh, I'm in the same boat as April - can't make it on the 11th! I can't believe that I'll miss Angie yet again!!! No votes for a meet-up on the 12th instead of the 11th????

Angie, congratulations! Can't wait to see the posts!

Maya, unfortunately, as the little sister, my commands don't hold much weight. But maybe, just maybe, this will be my moment. It's only an hour by train! Brunch and a quick shopping adventure, then back in no time flat to finish up the dinner. I think it's a brilliant idea.

I am tempted...NY in September? Sounds perfect. I will see what I can do.

Jean, please come if you can! I would absolutely love to meet you.

I think you are being more than reasonable Mae. As a fellow younger sibling, I know sometimes we need do a little poking and prodding...

Shana, nothing is set in stone yet. I'm all for whatever option works for as many people as possible.

Well as much as I'd love to meet you all in NYC, that aint going to happen LOL

But, Angie I'm so excited about seeing your reportage (is that a word?) of the fashion week! You should be posting around the time its warming up significantly here so will hopefully be inspiring!

Sounds like this might be the largest YLF gathering yet! We might need to have multiple rendezvous. More tea and cake. I'm in.

Michelle - it's a YLF order that you come. Otherwise I'll cry.

MPJ, I've been to Boston for a YLF gathering. Did you ever read the post? It was a fab gathering!

Theresa, I thought about the Southern hemisphere being able to pop the new trends into place sooner too!

See Michelle? I told you it would be a YLF order. I mean, I didn't. Mapaya did. What a bully.

Angie - that DOES sound vaguely familiar - probably what put it in my mind...

Ah well, I guess the Natick Collection doesn't stand a chance up against NYFW.

MPJ, if it's any consolation, your use of the word "boondoggle" makes me think very highly of you :p

Oh, that NYC gathering in September sounds like a lot of fun! I wish I live closer
Michelle, you should come and represent Canada there - make it an international YLF meeting!

How exciting! Congratulations, Angie and Greg. Looking forward to reports!

Oh this is so exciting! Congrats Angie and Greg!

And the NYC gathering is pulling at my heartstrings. I *so* wish I could attend!

Yay! Congrats Angie and Greg! I'm sure your descriptions and Greg's excellent photos just might inspire me to try my YLF runway challenges again.

Sept. 11th is the Austin meet-up. We'll have to find some cupcakes and (sweet) tea and toast to our YLF sisters everywhere. (And Greg too, of course!) : )

Oh, that is fabulous news Angie NYFW would not be the same without Mr. and Mrs. Cox! Really looking forward to finding out whose shows you are going to see.

The London gathering had a Canadian representative, so the NYC gathering should as well...

What Fun Angie and Greg!

Thanks for the congrats, ladies. We are looking forward to it even though its a very tiring trip. We really do love Manhattan and as Taylor said - I am in my element at FW :0)

Maya are you going to be lead organizer of the gathering? You are also ordered to make sure that Michelle fulfills her order.

I think a 2 day gathering might be best. It's very difficult and inefficient to shop and get around NYC with such a large group. I will only be able to attend one day, though, so someone else might want to organize the day that I don't attend (probably Sunday).

Angie, if your schedule prevents a Saturday gathering, I hope we can at least meet for tea and a waffle.

Michelle, in all seriousness, I know this is a massively expensive undertaking. We are just being pushy so you know how very much we want to have you come. But no one will resent you if you decide it isn't feasible. NYC is NOT a cheap place to be, and I know that better than anyone. That said, it would totally be worth cutting out other stuff in your budget

Belated congrats to Angie and Greg! I am so excited to read your joint posts on FWNYC. You explain FW better than just about anyone else around.

Now I am imagining a day trip down to NYC during that weekend. Hmm, maybe a group day trip down from the Boston area is in order.

Sparky-Anne, we'll miss you at the NYC gathering.

Maya, we will try our best to meet up together too. Probably not Brooklyn though. Closer might be better? We are staying very close to Lincoln Centre for a change.

Michelle, you need to gatecrash a friend in NYC. Do you have any who you can stay with?

Can I just butt in here with nothing to add except to say that this thread's banter has completely made my day?

Carry on, ladies

Angie - if you're staying on the UWS, try to have breakfast or lunch one day at Sarabeth's:

Sarabeth’s (West)
423 Amsterdam Avenue
(80th Street)
New York, N.Y. 10024
Phone: 212-496-6280
Fax: 212-787-9655

Tara, I've eaten at that Sarabeths! It's wonderful.

Angie, if you go, there is usually a wait on the weekends. We didn't have any trouble getting a table during the week.

Another good restaurant in the same area is Nice Matin on 79th and Amsterdam.

Regret to inform both Angie and Mapaya that none of my friends live anywhere near as exciting as NYC. One of them used to, but she chucked in her swanky UN job for a field position in Liberia (no joke). Never fear, though, I'm investigating something that might work.
No promises, but I'm trying!

How exciting! I'm so looking forward to your report on FW, Greg's fabulous photos and hearing all about the YLF meet-up.

Congratulations, Angie and Greg! I can't wait to hear your take on fasion week again this year.

I wish I could make it out to a YLF NYC gathering. I've actually never been anywhere in the NE region of the US. Maybe someday...
