I do this. Sometimes I buy somethng that's perfect...then I find the truly perfect version a short time later. If it's not a lot of $$$, I donate it. I get what I truly love and a charity gets a brand new item to resell. Everyone wins!!

I'm clearly not the person to advise, but I would absolutely do this. Foot comfort is high on my priority list.

I'm curious as to what your final decision will be? Did you say in an earlier post that I might have missed?

If shoes are uncomfortable at the beginning they will never be, trust me after many years I finally learned this lesson. If you can sell that at consigment/eBay that is the better solution.
you can fudge it with a Tshirt but not a shoe,
at the risk of inciting a riot, I don't think it is yr. boyfriends business what you do with your shoes.

Sterling, I decided I'd stalk for a sale and then try the switcheroo Chadya, I agree but then he's the one working and supporting us this last year, so it's only polite to consider everyone's point of view on how we spend 'our' money. That's part of why I started a clothing budget and number of items allotment, to keep us both happy. (not that he's got me on an allowance or anything, we're practically married after 13 years)

Sales are good. I sometimes really like the stalking part of the process.
