@Jenni NZ Thank you - I live for colour! Yet another way I won't ever fit into local ways of dressing, but I don't mind lol. I'd say my ideal style would be somewhere between Iris Apfel, Dita Von Teese & Tracey from Chewing Gum - a lot of colour & accessories, but tastefully done for an hourglass figure, lol

I tried the tunic on again today & it looks like the fit is different now. It's loose around the waist (like it's meant to hang just straight down) but then it ends up 'sitting' on the top of my butt, like a shelf lol. I guess that's what's contributing to the fact that it looks like the fabric is pulling across my butt? I'll upload a photo later if I can, & maybe a WIWT Outfit Post that I have with a wrap dress (that someone else suggested), so you can see how that hangs on me too.

Also sorry if I haven't managed to reply to everyone yet - a reply/ quote function would be useful for remembering what the other person said when typing a response, lol! Anyway thanks to whoever said they like my new hair - it's much appreciated, though I'm still trying to figure out how to style it without blow drying or damaging my hair all the time!

I like that pick. It’s a great color for you and clearly isn’t tight, as it’s loose in front. Cool that you know that a butt that can be a shelf can be sought after. Could it be that tunics remind you of shalwar, and that’s why the body-con backside bugs you, because it is *not* what shalwar do?

A line skirts in any length would work fabulously on you, especially with a body con top tucked in. Also, if you wear belts stick to skinny belts vs. thick belts. I think they work better but that could just be on my body since my hips are much wider.

Lol @FashIntern it's possible that's the reason, but I think really I used to be very self conscious about my butt full stop because I grew up with very modest dressing guidelines, so anything that would emphasise it or point out that I have one would frustrate me. But I think I'm learning to embrace it now - it may not be traditional figure flattery goals, but someone mentioned on the other thread that I shouldn't just focus on the parts of my body that I want to hide (like my lower stomach, upper arms & upper legs), but also the parts I like (such as my waist, bubble butt, long neck & nails). Does it sound weird to want to show off nails, lol?

@BlondeAmbition I actually just rediscovered an A-line skirt that I thought I had lost! I might do a WIW with it (I've commented in the past that I prefer to keep my knees & most of my legs covered, but this slightly above-the-knee length actually looks more flattering on my short height). I think the belt width really depends on the silhouette of the clothing in section -
an A-line skirt works better for me with a thin belt if it already has a medium width, structured waistband. If it doesn't, a wider belt can help create that. Anyway, I'll never know until I try, so time to experiment!

I think it’s awesome to focus on the parts of your body you like.

I'm thinking of starting a body love thread, so everyone can share the body parts that they like!

Sorry lol I never started this because I got sick this week Will try now!
