They did check his heart today, and his heart looks good. They are still trying to get the fluid out of his lungs. DH has been working with the vet, and they want to do something to get some cells out of his lung to test. I didn't follow what, exactly, as DH couldn't explain it well.
They won't do it until tomorrow, so I will get the details from them tonight when we go see our kitty.

Fingers crossed. We had a cat who had to have surgery and we thought we were going to lose him - it was like he'd lost all will to live. Then one day he turned around and he lived another 10 years to the age of 18. Cats are funny that way - they can go up or down instantly. Keep hoping!
