I'm so sorry about your kitty--I'm sure this must be an awful time for you. I once read a quote that I unfortunately can't find, but the idea behind it was that pet owners make the ultimate sacrifice in loving their pets, because they know that they will probably outlive their pets. But, of course, you are the better for having had your kitty in your life, and she was the better for having you.

I hope you can take some solace in being able to hold her until the very end--what a wonderful gift to give to her.

(((Tara))) That's so sad. It's so horrible and heartbreaking to lose a pet, even when it's not totally unexpected and they've lived a long and happy life. My cranky old kitty sends a "meh" your way.

I wasn't on-line this weekend, and just saw this. Aaaah Tara-((( Losing a pet is absolutely heartbreaking. I still get tears in my eyes sometimes when I think about our dog who passed away eight years ago.

I'm 100% convinced that she knew you cared about her until the very end Tara. Here's another virtual hug for you!

Tara, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I gave my fur babies (10 and 12 years old) an extra hug after reading your post. I try not to think about the fact that they probably only have a few years left...

Seems we have all had a taste of this kind of grief...very painful..my heart is heavy for you.
