As an introvert, I actually prefer the smaller ones where just a handful of us get together. You get a chance to talk with each person. What I have learned from these conversations is that YLF participants are just about the smartest, most thoughtful women around, on ANY subject, not just fashion.

Lisa, my shoes are an earlier incarnation of the Vince Camuto cage sandals. I ordered them online before the Boston meet up last year. They were supposed to be last year's Elia (I think that is what it was called) but they actually delivered me something different -- the Elem. I liked it even better and kept it! They are the highest heels I wear now at 3 inches but they feel more like 2.5 and I can walk in them all day no problem.

Aida, the Okalas are not called gold but they are gold, effectively.

Let me share some details...

Una's hair looks even more fabulous with that top than the photos suggest. Truly. And, well, let's face it -- it just looks fabulous, period!! She is one beautiful and super cool, super smart, and super stylish woman.

Michelle is every bit as intelligent and gracious in real life as she is on this forum. Not to mention stylish. That top has amazing clever back details. There is a triangular keyhole at the back neckline of the top as well as a very small slit on the rear (for want of a better explanation). So it falls and drapes in very lovely ways and even though it is simple, it looks very special.

Carla has the kind of effervescence and brio that make her an absolutely delightful companion. There is something exceptionally youthful in the best possible way about her; she radiates health and vitality. Not to mention great modern classic style.

And Merwoman is one of the most positive, gracious, thoughtful and deeply kind women on the fashion planet. I told her she just has to share how she has upped the style ante in her workplace. Hoping she'll be able to do that soon.

We missed so many Toronto and near-Toronto friends. Sveta, Celia, Mona, Torontogirl, Kerry, Style Fan, Ceit, Ms. KatieKat, Emily and more. And even those are far flung as Ottawa. We hope we get a chance to do this sooner rather than later.

Okay, since Suz summed up the others, so let me just add that Suz is everything you would expect and more - engaged, searching, and of course articulate - plus all her clothes fit her perfectly and her hair is exactly the right style for her. It's amazing how instantly familiar and comfortable everyone feels to me! And everyone's voice suits them too. I love being able to hear how people sound too, so I can read their posts in their voices.

I'm so glad you all had a great time. You all look fab. So sorry I had to miss it. Next time!

Aww, Una, thank you. If you knew how stressed I was about my hair this weekend. I hate to look at the photos! For whatever reason, it was driving me nuts. Oh well, luckily it grows!
