The SSIF is around the corner. WOOOHOOOOOOOO. Here are the details of the original thread:

Reservations have been made and logistics are more or less in place:

THURSDAY 25th Sept:
Diane G arrives from Birmingham, UK. Incredible. The YLF Team will be making her feel right at home in Seattle as soon as she’s settled into her hotel.

FRIDAY 26th Sept:
Out of towners from Canada and the US arrive throughout the day. As far as we can, Inge and I will be meeting them as they arrive downtown. I’ve arranged dinner at Tango at 6.30pm so that the out of towners feel extra special, and can spend a little more time with our guest of honour, Inge. Of course, all local Seattleites are welcome.

These are the people who will be attending (thread below):

Inge, Angie, Diane, Mary, Denise, AJ, AJ’s Sister, Vicki, Sveta, Deb, Ruth (bj111), Anna, Kari, Debbie, Suzanne (Ambergreen), Kate (Rabbit) Aida: 17

SATURDAY 27th Sept:
This is the day of the EPIC gathering, which starts at 8.30am, and ends whenever you want it to.

I’ve made breakfast reservations at Urbane at 8.30am, which is downtown and very walkable from your hotels. You will be able to choose from a menu of five brunch options for breakfast. Everyone can sit, yak and eat for 2 hours. You will also be able to pay separately.

Then we shop up a storm and have fun till the cows come home. Greg will take a few pics too.

Next up is lunch at the Steelhead Diner at 1.30pm, where I’ve booked a separate lunch room. The menu is set and family style (unfortunately they cannot offer an a la carte menu to a huge group like us). There will be a meat option, a veggie option, and a seafood option plus non-aclcholic drinks and a little dessert. You will also be able to pay separately, and order alcohol if you want to.

More shopping, yakking, laughing and having a ball.

TIPS:
It is my HOPE that the long weekend stays dry, so please start bribing the weather angels now. You will ALL look fabulously stylish, but do remember to wear footwear that goes the distance (apart from at the cocktail party of course). Even if the weather is mild during part of the day, it will be chilly in the morning and at night. The days are short, so it will probably be cooler than you think for most of the day. Packing a small umbrella is a very good idea.

Greg and I will be hugging Inge in precisely two weeks. CAN'T WAIT. xo
