Stunning dress and it looks just as fab on you now as it did then. I do remember Monsoon as a favoured label and think at one point they had a shop in Auckland's CBD.

If you would like to camouflage the "lumps and bumps" in a glamorous way, I suggest a longer, loose, thin jacket (e.g. in chiffon) in white or silver grey. (Such a jacket could easily be teamed with many other items as well, from dresses to pants!)

Thanks The Cat. I did later ( 2013 rather than 2001 when I wore the dress) buy some shapewear after all that was moderately comfortable and wore it with a ball dress then so I could try that. It is Triumph brand I think, shorts that come up to just under the bra line. I actually have a very pretty silver chiffon type wrap too. If I actually ever thought I wanted to wear the dress out ( in the world) I could try those things.
