When I posted my review of 2021 6 months ago, I wrote about how a couple of tough years had lead to my closet reflecting some sadness I was feeling, and that I had acquired a lot of somber colours - what I called ‘Victorian mourning colours’. This trend continued through into 2022 - until now!

Bright colours, and patterns are on my radar (my closet so needs an injection of pattern) however I wasn’t finding anything ‘new’ in stores that appealed. I don’t find online shopping conducive to wildcards - and I needed the jolt of something different.

So, over the past 3 days I visited all the local ‘ladies wear’ and thrift shops, but I was very, very picky. I scored at our town’s indi shoe shop, and my favourite local thrift stores: My Sisters Closet, and Second Helpings. Of course I had to do a quick outfit creation session after laundering all the clothes and going over the bag with leather conditioner!

#1 RL cotton gauze button down - I just knew it would work with the pleather pants!
#2 RL modern straight cropped jeans - cream coloured - styled with the orange paisley button down, and
#3 a whiteout/coastal chic look
#4/5 is a reversible dress I had to have! - which side do you like best?
#6 Merlot leather Coach cross body bag - a sister for my favourite black Coach bag, and a perfect match for my winter puffer!
#7 Joseph Siebal Henrietta sandals - new

All 4 thrifted items < $100CA! I feel like my fashion mojo is coming back!
