There were a couple of people who were "maybes" for the CT swap and don't know of the current weather-related plans we've been exchanging via e-mail, so here is a recap.

We are expecting snow on Friday -- the day I have to travel from PA to CT to get things ready for the swap. If it all ends early enough, no problem. But if it looks bad, we've decided to reschedule our swap -- perhaps for some time in March, when conditions will be more hospitable for travel.

I should know by midday on Friday what's what, and will post an update.

Hey, that Pasadena swap is sounding pretty good right now...

I hate the stupid snow.

Thank you April for all of the monumental efforts with this. No one can control Mother nature, bummer

I think for me, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to attend. The team I'm traveling with is thinking of leaving tomorrow to avoid this mess. That is up in the air as well.

I think it's not going to happen for me this time. Thank you Maya for offering to take the train with me!

Have fun ladies!

Should we just push to March when the weather is more cooperative? The more people the better.

I was thinking the same thing, Lisa. I don't even have any of my swap items ready yet (they're all really wrinkled and need a wash--not that they are dirty, just that they have been boxed up for so long and could stand to be refreshed). That is obviously my fault but coupled with all the uncertainty about the weather, I think it might be better to hold off.

What say you, April? Would you be ok with having a quiet couple of days with SO this time around?

I'm just thinking the timing seems "off". I can use more time to pile up goodies to bring. And since I would be driving the potential parking or lack or or the ice freezing if snow were to melt or who knows what with the roads on the way home is making me pause.

Yes, I'm going to agree on this one -- let's reschedule so that no one is stressed or driving on ice. And when we find a new date, maybe some of the people who couldn't come to this one will be available.

Keep your swap piles growing, and we'll start working on a date for when the weather is not so inhospitable.

ETA: P.S. If everyone who was planning to come will just chime in that they've seen this note, I won't have to torture you with additional e-mail...

Thanks!
