Thoughts on these dresses for the rehearsal dinner - Added another dress

This is going to sound silly, but what is the bride suppose to wear to the rehearsal dinner? I'm heavily leaning towards whatever I want, but I've been seeing a lot of short white dresses. I would like for my dress to be something I can wear again and not white. I have issues with spilling anything and everything on garments that are 100% white.

I've started searching and I've got a little less than 4 months. While that's still a fair amount of time, I'd like to find it sooner than later in case in needs to be altered a touch. These are a few contenders in my mind because they are are fairly modest (i.e. they cover most of my ink) and I think they can be worn again as work/going out dresses after the dinner. I also really want to be comfortable, able to breathe and laugh, and not cringe when I see pictures later.

They are all fit and flairs and are fairly similar. I'm still trying to keep an open mind, but what do you think? Are these contenders or is it back to drawing board?

Late Add - I found this one as well. The fabric looks like it's not as shiny as the Fizz dress.

I love the fizz dress, and I'm definitely in the wear whatever you want boat ... does your family have thoughts about what you should be wearing?

These are all pretty and feminine dresses. I really like the last one for the rehearsal dinner. The purply patterned one is also nice, and so is the navy and ivory.

How do you feel about that neckline? I like it for myself but I lack upper body curves and have a long neck, which affects the way it looks. Do you usually prefer a slightly lower neckline?

Thanks for the suggestions lyn! It looks like the first one is only available in 2x and 3x now. Which is shame because it's be awesome. The only thing that worries about #2 is how light it is. I wonder if I can get it in a slightly darker color.

I have a couple of dresses with a high neckline like the first 2 have. Knock on wood, I haven't had any problems with them, but I'd definitely make sure the dress was returnable just in case it didn't work for me.

I'm partial to the navy & ivory, the fizz, and the black and white lyn found. A little dressier, but not so dressy they can't ever be made casual.

I have a sugar eye for Ms Fizz. The color is formal, and the print is festive. If you get a pretty colored topper (cardi or shrug? are they still in?) you would have two pieces to wear again and bring back fond memories.

What matters most is ease and flattery for you.

I like how you think Laurinda. A color cardi would be fun and both would remind me of that night. I'll already have a couple of colorful cardis, but I'm always on the lookout for another colorful one.

I think any of those dresses would be great! The fizz one seems so appropriate, with the champagne bubbles and the tuxedo-like belt, and the pattern on the purple one is gorgeous, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

And I've never heard of white rehearsal dinner dresses as a "thing." It seems like just looking for a dress you love in whatever color like you're doing makes way more sense and is way more fun.

My first choice for you is also the fizz, followed by the navy and cream. All eyes will be on you, and both dresses have something extra special, and even a bit bridal, about them.
Your query made me think back to my wedding. I wore the same dress for a bridal shower and the rehearsal dinner--soft blue with lace trim.

My sister just got married in December, and one thing I'd point out is that for most of the rehearsal dinner people will see you from the waist up. So if you want the touch of cream/white to be visible the whole time, that's something to think about. Do you know where the dinner will be held? That will affect how formal/informal you want to look.

I think you can wear whatever you want, but remember that there will be pictures and you and your groom are the stars of the show. I wore a beautiful, navy Brooks Brothers dress to my rehearsal dinner. I felt and looked pretty fab, I think, but in all the pictures, the person who stands out is my beloved friend in her bright red dress. Not a huge deal, but I wished I'd worn a more standout dress.

For her rehearsal dinner, my DDIL wore a bright yellow dress in a sort of geometric eyelet fabric. She stood out in the bright color and looked beautiful.

The last one is great, and the fizz. The purple is pretty but has a little less " presence".
Agree about dressing for photo opp's along eith being comfortable enough. You likely know what kind of color/ contrast and neckline look best for that. Don't know if you can do this, but it'd be great if you could get your favorite 2-3 to try on at the same time. Often the winner will emerge re: fit ( issues that don't tailor well, for
example) and how the fabric behaves.
