I have three pairs: white Barbara bootcut, a dark wash Barbara bootcut, and a dark wash ankle jean that may be the Alisha. All are a size down from my usual pant size. I give them mixed reviews.
The Barbara seems a high rise, but not the highest, and they're pretty comfortable on me. I don't notice any binding or girdle feeling in these.
I really like the white Barbara bootcuts; for a white jean, they are not see-through, they are fitted, but not too tight, and the length was good without hemming. They do stretch out a bit while wearing, but for white, I'm okay with the give, and I wash them more frequently (every second wear) than I do other jeans.
The ankle jeans are a little higher rise than the Barbara cut, I think, and not as comfortable on me, as they are tight in the waist. Maybe I should have got my regular pant size in them, although I do like the fit through the hips and thighs. I just wear them with tops out rather than tucked in. But I do wear them quite a bit, because I think they are a little dressier looking than some others I have. I like to wear them tucked into boots, too, because there is no bunching at the ankles.
The Barbara bootcuts in a dark wash are my least favorites. I wish I hadn't gotten them, because I feel frumpy in them. They do fit like the white ones, so I guess the little bit of give that I appreciate in white is not something I want in my dark wash jeans. I think they probably look okay, just not great. I feel a lot
more stylish in my Paige or Fidelity jeans.
