That's definitely a style I'd wear, but I would have scorned Ed Hardy's prices. I shopped at Hot Topic and Delias mostly. It was amazing how far I could stretch my allowance back then.

My typical high school uniform was something red and plaid. a spiked wristband, lots of rubber bracelets, my black combat boots, and glitter on my eyes. I remember having many fights with my parents over how I dressed back then.

If I hadn't done it then, it would have come out in college. I'm glad I went through that phase while I was still a kid and it was safe to go over the top and experiment. Horses for courses.

I wore the most hideous, oversized Eddie Bauer sweatshirts and fleece zip ups in high school, jeans that were too short, and my white marching band shoes. And the tops weren't just big--they were huge, like XXL and I was an XS. Every day--seriously. Yikes!

There's plenty of opportunity to be over the top and experiment when you wear a school uniform Maya! You become even MORE discerning about what you wear when you’re not at school. It’s a scream.

I wore a uniform in HS too...'cept the administration kept changing the uniform requirements from year to year. My freshman year we had to wear skirt or dress slacks, white collard shirt and a jacket. Our lovely color options were...green, brown or blue. Each year they changed the rules to be a little more lax. I would push the limits to see what I could get away with--as did most kids.
