Barbara Diane - I'm determined to try on some Naot sandals soon.

Sterling - those pants sound nice.

Delurked, I like scarves on others more than on myself Adding a scarf also goes against my "minimalist " style inspiration. I just was not able to find another solution to a changing temperature problem.

Wow - I think we are style sisters!!! Knit skirts with lose pretty tees and denim shorts are my summer go-to as well!!!

I do have several of each into heavy rotation. Here are 2 outfits from my holiday in Thailand! If I wasnt in a swimsuit & beach coverup; I was in either of these 2 outfit options!

Irina - that makes sense. I'm always hot, so just one more reason to omit.

Maneera - I like your wardrobe. It would work well in my life - both in terms of casualness and heat. Hope your trip was a great getaway and a great time with your hubby.

Sorry to be slow returning. Packing to move and decluttering is taking my time. I have two linen skirts that are soft and not at all scratchy from EF, bought on sale. I also have two older linen pencil skirts from Classiques Entiere that are more structured but unlined and not scratchy.

Thanks Joy. I remember wearing linen with no prior problems. I think it's the linen blends in some of the thin tops I have the issue with. I'd probably solve it by going up in price point.

Packing is a big chore. Good luck with it.

Loose black silk shirtdress from Theory with Gabor Gibson shoes in white (Angie pick from last year): https://www.amazon.com/Gabor-G.....l&ie=

Dress can be seen here:

On me, the dress was six inches too long to be floor-length, so I took it to the tailor and had 16 inches chopped off. Now it's just at the knee. I roll up the sleeves and it's breezy, even though black.

The white shoes lighten things up and I carry a white bag wth it.

Actually, it's an outfit that makes me feel very Angie.

April - I can just imagine that outfit, and it sounds amazing. I like the shoes too.

White denim cropped jeans, I really need to post a WIW photo of them sometime soon, because they have been my staple this season.

I'm still waiting for summer to show up

My main go-to's include gauzy cotton shirts with sleeves rolled up and worn semi tucked over various shorts, my ecco sandals (comfy, but they seem to be one season sandals), linen tees and my plaid whisper weight cotton shirt.

What a great question! I just decided that my weekend summer outfit formula this year is short boyfriend shorts (denim or white) + drapey tee + statement jacket + comfortable flats or wedges. Now that I have a go-to, getting dressed on weekends will be so much easier!

And like you and many who have replied, I love my comfy skirts. I have about 5 from Joe Fresh that are exactly the same - midi length, thick jersey and fitted. They look sharp, but are so comfy. I wear them wiht everything.

Summer hasn't been consistent enough here to have a go-to. The weekend of July 4th was sunny and hot, in the high 80s, low 90s. This past weekend was cloudy and high temps of the 60s, and was so cold at points that a jacket was needed. Doesn't feel like mid-July at all...

Elizabeth and crazyone - I can't imagine not being hot right now. I'd like it as a break, but not as a skip of season.

Lisa - I never used to wear white on my bottom half. I now enjoy white a lot.

Roxanna - a uniform of sorts helps keep things simple and sorted.

Texstyle - I like the tops a lot, and I need to get to trying some Ecco sandals. I may be just between their sizes. The last pair I tried I was at the end. They didn't have the next size in the store so I'll have to go online.
