The dress is a fabulous palette on you. I am for shortening but you might want to pin it first to see if that makes the pattern look weird. There may be an ideal or less ideal cut off point. The symmetry might make it harder to just cut any old place.

Love the hair and the dress looks fab too. I like the length, but I feel like you need to show some ankles. That's just me though.
