Sal, I started a do not buy list too! Mine is:
Black or rust sleeveless tops
Peasant blouses
Skirts

Jenn- absolutely looking for some items on sale! I have some AGL snake print booties on my Nordie’s wish list, just in case they become 40% off.

Actually, I’m realizing that I use my Nordie’s wish list as my “list.” When I start thinking about an item, I’ll collect a few things that might meet that need, and then think them over. Some “needs” pass, and others become purchases.

Yes, I have a list now, in “Notes” on my phone, for about a year. It’s there because my phone is with me, as per Zaeobi. I am currently noting on it if I have bought something, and am adding to it as I notice holes, similar to Gretchen’s idea.
It’s not very big since as you know I already feel my wardrobe is quite large.
Shoes are not on it, since I really use my Styletread wishlist as a fantasy list of shoes and tend to buy off that unless needing a really serious shoe hunt, as per last May when choosing silver sandals for my daughter’s wedding.
I have recently made my first purchase of 2020, on 29 Feb. It is shoes, which I think I will be keeping, still within the return window. And they had been on my Styletread wishlist for around a year, first at full price then sale price. I will type the list in next post.

Coming back to say that my current list includes:
Jeans - refreshed style
Not-basic tee- purchased
Pants, lightweight - purchased
Spring/summer midi skirt - purchased
Sandals, still deciding on style
Bathing suit (2 piece, high waisted, longline top)
Link style necklace
Resin earrings

I won’t purchase all of them, but having the list helps me remember my priorities, which is important when I get distracted by something impractical. After looking over the list, at least I know what I’m giving up to get the item I’ve fallen in love with!

Here is my list:

Further to this, I don’t have a no-buy list written down, but when browsing in B & M stores, which I probably do briefly every week often when heading to the supermarket in my fave small mall, whenever I see pretty things PPP rings in my head like a mantra, and also the fact that I :
1. Have too many “going out tops”, more than my going out occasions
2. Have more dresses than I can wear
3. Almost never wear skirts but already own 7 that I fit and like.

Back when I first joined YLF I didn’t have a list - there was just so much I needed it would have been overwhelming. But now - my needs are much fewer and I’m working hard to wear the heck out of the lovely clothes I’ve purchased the last few years.
My list is below copied from my phone. I would add to it if I found a need but so far nothing has come up. I check it off once I found the item.
