No muffin top to be seen! I've always thought mid-rise and lower-rise jeans looked silly with tucked tops, because they make everyone look like something is wrong with the proportions. I vote keep the bootcut and do a semi-tuck or untucked top with them. Your look in #5 is great. Also notice, in pics #3 and #4, you have a very blousy top vs. a fitted one like you've shown in #1 and #2. IMO, that makes the look work even better.
And, BTW, with colder weather here in Australia, ALL I want to wear is skivvies at the moment and I don't have enough so am making do with scarves to cover my neck
