Oh, how I wish these worked for me. One of Angie's top 30 teasers and they are adorable! They slipped a bit in the heels (darn my narrow heels), otherwise I would have snapped them up. Lovely colors. Great arch support. Hoping someone else will have better luck than me.

They look nice on your foot. I also tried them but they are narrow in the toebox and the arch support is way too much for me.

I am so tempted by these but if they're narrow in front they probably wouldn't work for me.

Joyce and Laura, wish they could have worked for you. My toe box has gotten wider over the years, but my heels remain narrow. I think that they might still work for some with regular volume feet. Not sure if they would be bunion friendly, though. I'm curious to see if anyone else tried them.

Did you try half a size down, Deb? And heel grips work well too - as would an insole.

Btw, I didn't find them all that narrow.

I tried them on and they fit my fairly wide (but short) toes. Comfy for my high arches, too.

I wanted to love them since they look like my Irish dance shoes. But I decided they're just not quite my style, since I so rarely wear any women's-style shoes.

I bought 2 pairs of them. My forefoot is a little on the wide side (not wide enough to go with wide sizes) and narrow heels. I moved up a 1/2 size and the SA said heel pads will work fine with them. Sometimes if I size up for width, I'll put a little lambs wool into the toe..keeps my foot pushed toward the heel. I'm dealing with a neurama so I have to have enough width in the forefoot. If anyone likes them, please try them..the elastic makes them quite forgiving and they are really cute.

Angie, I didn't have enough room to size down, but heel grips could work. I should revisit them. Thanks for the suggestion!

I ordered a pair last year and was so glad they were in the sale this year. They have held up well. I ordered the leopard print in my normal size and love them . They run TTS.

I already liked the look of these, but based on the comments here I knew I had to get them. Too much arch support for normal feet? Sounds perfect for me! I ordered the leopard and the navy.

Such a shame -- they look really nice. I feel your frustration, as slipping heels are the bane of my shoe existence. Heel grips have never worked for me beyond a single wear. Sometimes an insole in the entire shoe helps a bit. But even that is "iffy." It's the main reason I don't wear low vamp shoes without straps.

I really like the look of these and it's helpful to see them on an actual foot (why don't they put that in the photos online?) I ordered the navy this morning and am hoping they will fit my fussy feet. We shall see!

Deb, thanks for trying those on! The term "Ghillies" bring me back. I am on the fence...in the northeast we need socks for many months. Trying to picture that shoe with a thin sock. Loving the grey.

I'm seconding Angie's suggestion of heel grips. I have narrow heels and have added heel grips to many of my shoes.

Try a half size down. I am consistently a 10 - never ever a 9.5 but had to go down to a 9.5 in these shoes because in the 10 my heel was popping out.

I ordered these too, in the navy suede, and they arrived today. I ordered in my normal size and they are a perfect fit -- elastic is if anything slightly loose but you can't tell by looking. They are super cute, super comfortable, and I love them to bits ... but they make a squeak-fart sound when I walk in them. It's coming from the vicinity of my arches. Both shoes. Has anyone else had this issue with this style? Or with any shoe, and know how to make it stop? I'm wondering if I should try another pair since they are still available in my size.

Runs With Scissors - mine make the same sound! I am hoping it goes away as they mold to the foot. Going to wear them around the house a bit to see.

Hi ladies, thanks for all the great comments. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to this thread. I was out of town for several days. Spent a very hot but very fun weekend in D.C., sightseeing.

Suz, so true about low vamp shoes. If only it weren't for slipping heels.

Angie, I'm going to take another look at them tomorrow. Just remembered that my toes were right at the end of the shoe. I wonder if there is enough room for heel grips. Maybe size up and use insoles?

Thanks for your review. These did not seem to fit my foot shape either. In addition, the way they " walked " was a bit funny to me, something about the soles and maybe the arch support.
But, glad I tried them.

Debora -- in case it helps -- I decided to order the $80 smooth black leather Earthies Essens I found at Zappos. No uncouth sounds from these ... but the heel slips, and they feel a tad looser all over. Since I didn't have heel slippage with the blue suede ones, I ordered another identical pair from Zappos to try. Maybe you'd have luck with a different pair in the same size too?

On almost a whim I ordered the totally-not-on-sale silver pair too: they are a lovely muted, almost distressed-looking shade. (I tried to add a Find but couldn't.) Naturally *those* fit perfectly. AND silently.

I need to make some decisions, obviously!
