Thanks everyone--lots of good ideas and advice here.

#Gigi--I did buy some of the Bite Agave balm. I like it a lot--I think you recommended it before. I'll try the Lip Mask as well.

Overall, it makes sense to me to continue on and clear out the old mascara. For the time being I'm going to just stick with the less expensive drug store lipstick and mascara--I like Revlon and Loreal. No need to buy expensive stuff for now. My sisters and closest friends gave up make up completely before the current pandemic.

I am an essential worker who has to interact with the unwashed masses 5 days a week. I am trashing my cosmetics really quickly these days. If I haven't used up a mascara or eyeliner or eyeshadow within 6 weeks, it goes in the trash. Now that I know Nordstrom has partnered with terracycle to recycle cosmetics containers, I'll be saving them up for that.
Unfortunately, I need my contacts. I've lost or broken or otherwise ruined all of my glasses except for one pair of readers. I've been extra stringent with the hand washing before I put my contacts in or take them out, because I'm already at high risk of exposure at work and don't want to take any extra risks. My masks get washed after (maximum) 1 day of wear. I'm ripping through chapstick/lip balm, so I'm not having to worry much about how old those are, and colder weather is only going to accelerate that cycle.

I haven't bothered with foundation or concealer since this started. I've been too tired to care who sees the dark circles under my eyes.

Retirement changed makeup routines more than Covid has. I wear very little. Most no longer agree with my skin. I wear a moisturizer daily with a bit of tint and sun screen, nothing on eyes or on nails. Lip color only for Zoom. It makes masks messy. My face could probably use more color but it is not a high priority.
These days I am most picky about hair care products, They get used up quickly, same with toothpaste and scent.
