The cart is heating up for round two

I'm already starting the fun with numbers game where I try to guess at how much of each order I'll be returning, thus how much more I should buy on subsequent orders. My rational mind says just wait for Angies picks.

My gimme gimme mind says that these boots are weatherproof and have amazing reviews about comfort.

My rational mind shows back up and reminds me that my life is so chaotic right now that I can't even say with 100% certainty that I don't already have a pair of boots that fill this hole.

My gimme mind says if I have booties in the cart I should throw in a few cashmere pieces, and a scarf.

In other news, my fleeting obsession with the metallic oxfords is over. I HAVE a pair of PG metallic oxfords that I love, are much more me, and quite comfy.

Thanks, Sterling. These are all pieces I can see myself reaching for all winter long. On my first round of orders I rationalized that I had to sign up for the card and order right away so I could snag petites. This round I think I'm going to try to make it into the store to try on and feel because I don't need special sizes in any of this.

I totally get it. I put anything I am even considering in my Saved for Later and look at it throughout the day. Sometimes things sell out. While my rational mind says wait for more try-on photos and Angie's picks, my gimme gimme mind says if it sold out once, I'd better order it if it pops back. Therefore, I have three orders coming, all while I was meaning to wait!

I audited my bootie situation and was surprised to see I don't have and nicer cognac booties. I love cognac foote are so much that sometimes I avoid it because I assume I already have it. My Nordstrom has the cognac in stock, so I'll try to swing by to try those on.

I love oversized cashmere cardis, but I think I'll get the light gray instead of burgundy. My winter wardrobe is burgundy heavy already. I usually find gray cashmere to be the itchiest, so we'll see how that goes.

Happy upcoming birthday to you, too! I wonder if a late summer, back-to-school birthday plays into a lifelong love of rich colors/autumn clothes.

That's interesting about the gray cashmere... I wonder why it would be itchier? I am leaning towards black. My wardrobe is burgundy-heavy too, and my black cardigan is feeling dated. The burgundy is really pretty, though.

Yeah, I swore I wasn't going to order any more after Friday, but then Firecracker mentioned that I might want to compare the burgundy Pikolinos against the charcoal ones. . .and I started to worry that the burgundy ones would sell out given that they seem to be a lemming item on YLF so I ordered them this a.m. My story is that I won't keep anything unless it's a *10*, and I pledge to make my returns IMMEDIATELY so that they won't show up as charges on my statement.

In the past two or three NASes I've bought only a handful of items. This year has been quite different. Five styles of black ponte pants in Petite sizes, with four that are machine washable? Lot of what I bought was prosaic.
