The blue dress - Keep, return, alter, belt?? ;)

I got the blue dress today .http://www.amazon.com/WeSC-Wom.....alyn+dress Pardon all the packing wrinkles . . . funny, when I tried this 9 months ago in a medium it was shipped flat around cardboard all nice and neat. Anyway, back then I knew Med was too big. This is a Small. It is meant to have a 'balloon' fit in the bodice. But it is still a tad bigger than I expected.
I pinned up the straps with clothespins (ignore them!) to see if strap shortening would help (6-8). I'm thinking no. Oddly, the looser, low hang fit seems more flattering (3-5). I also tried belting.
What do you think? Keep and leave as is, keep and belt, keep and shorten the straps. Or return?

Keep! The colour is fabulous. And the dress looks really, really good with the belt. I don't like it as much beltless, but it's still good.

The shoes, of course, are the final killing touch. So colour-coordinated... ;o)

I'm loving all the K/R posts, it's my chance to live vicariously. I like the dress with the belt. Does it balloon above the belt naturally, or is it possible to have a little less puffiness there? That color is magical on you.

What a gorgeous colour on you Mo! I really like the dress and think the size can work. I don't think it looks too big and I don't think the style is meant to be figure hugging anyway. I do think you're right about the straps needing shortening and like it both belted and unbelted. I vote for keep and alter the straps.

I like it in #3 - that's the as-is version, right? Great color, and I like how it is structured but still leaves room for some blessed airflow when it's hot.

I don't think it works with the waist belt, though. Maybe a hipslung version?

I am leaning toward keep at the moment . . . but still not sure if I should belt or shorten or just leave it be lol.

Mo I do think once it's pressed it willbe a 10! The color is gorgeous on you and that cut and style suits you so well. I like it with and without the belt so this gives you some versatility and I think it works as is i.e. no alterations required. I would keep!

I also like it best loose and longer in the length - no pegs. Does it feel too open on top?

It does show my bra if I lift my arms up . . . but I don't walk around doing 'touchdown!' signals all day lol. I could kind of position it a tad down in back, like the model, to hide the bra situation.
