Best:

  • Jackets. (LOVE nemosmom's comment that they feel like a brilliant hug!)
  • Jeans. I'm not necessarily an easy fit in denim (sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not) but I love wearing denim and know I will get my money's worth out of the purchase.
  • Footwear. I love shoes, find them a great wardrobe updater, and enjoy playing with them. Again, I'm not necessarily an easy fit, and my requirements are many. But the shopping is still enjoyable.
Worst:

  • Bathing suits.
  • Bathing suits.
  • Bathing suits. (Need I say anything more?)

Bath suits are the worst because I look better in a one piece but then everyone says it’s so conservative of me :p

But they’re not the worst because I’m old now and don’t have to go in the water if I don’t wanna, and I don’t

Worst: shoes and trousers

Best: dresses, skirts, lingerie, shirts, bags

Well, I am going to exclude accessories, because it would be only accessories for the best category.

Best: Blazers/Jackets
Dressy trousers
Boots

Worst: Bathing suits
Dresses
Sandals

Fascinating....I haven't done a tally (maybe I will one day) but I think

  • Jackets
  • Shoes
  • Bags
  • jeans
would the most favourite...
  • lingerie
  • swimwear
  • shoes
Would be the least favourite!!

I would think that the least favourite is influenced by tricky fits (petite lengths, less available sizes, narrow feet, foot issues, lack of choice in bra size) and areas that we are less confident about.

Will come back later.

Best:
Skirts, dresses, gear-all easy to fit, and what I need most of.

Worst: pants, shorts- cause hard to fit.

And I decided today, while in desperate need of a new one for lap swimming-SWIMSUITS.

Suntiger, try a 2-piece workout suit, by gear labels like Althleta, Title Nine, or Patagonia or a swimwear maker like Speedo, Arena, Tyr, or Body Glove. You can buy the top & bottom separately. https://m.swimoutlet.com/p/the.....olor=18473

Best: Shoes, of course. Always a huge choice available for me, mostly easy fit feet.
Best: earrings, love them. Plenty of fun inexpensive styles in shops like Lovisa and Colette by Colette Hayman etc to update my look.
Best: tops. Have to limit myself here.
Worst: glasses. Small face means my features get overwhelmed so I don’t update as much as I could.
Worst: skirts. If waistband fits hips do not or vice versa, hence I buy very few, but since I don’t like or wear them much it’s OK.
Worst: Coats. Mostly far too expensive. Yay for recent cheap and cheerful puffy.

I enjoy shopping for everything, even the stuff that is hard to fit or very boring/practical.

The top of my "fun" list is probably gear and knitwear. Gear is fun because the technology behind it is always changing. Knitwear (especially at secondhand shops) is fun for the opposite reason -- it preserves traditions! Even though I haven't bought much knitwear the past few years, I could spend all day looking at old fair isle and fisherman's sweaters. (I know SarahD8 gets it!)

Shoes and jeans are the most difficult due to fit and comfort issues. It takes me a loooong time to find what I need, but when I do, it's very satisfying!

Best:
Summer tops (summer is not my dominant season though)
Scarves (have plenty, could always buy more)

Worst:
Dresses (so many things that need to be just right: fabric, colour, pattern, length, neckline, sleeves, shape...)
Trousers (I don't currently own any, I live in jeans and don't really know how to find good trousers)

Best - dresses, coats and bags usually easy to find things I love and fit me.

Worst- bathers, bras and online shopping because for me it is soo hit and miss!
I Really do not like change rooms and lighting in swimwear shops, always too bright and with happy skinny teens ready to rip open the change room curtain just to see how you are going. No wonder I get a new swimsuit every few years and put it off for as long as possible.

best: dresses & t/shirts.

jackets & sweaters too. accessorizes if they count

worst: personally everything else. especially shoes (cause i'm real life big foot) and jeans (have to try a few of them to find a match)

i hate shopping in general
