Heh. I have a multi strand necklace that is maybe 1/3 the size of this one that already feels super heavy.

Also I think my neck is too short to even fit that many strands!

I find it absolutely beautiful!! How fun to just wear all black and that baby! Although my neck could not take the weight. I am recently obsessed with a gorgeous pearl necklace with a flower broach that Cloris Leachman wears in the series Raising Hope. DD and I have been watching it lately. I tried to find a pic of it but no luck....I am absolutely obsessed with it. Angie you would be too! Its a triple strand of pearls with a beautiful flower off to the right that is sparkly but subtle.

Oh, be still my (maximalist) heart! <3

It's not unheard for wealthy brides in the state of India where my family is from to wear this on their wedding day (usually in 21K gold) so I confess I don't find this that blingy....

That looks heavy! Pretty, but I imagine also uncomfortable.

I like Raji's bling best. But both of them are like armor or chain mail in a good way.

Yep. That's a bit of holiday cheer! I'd like mine made of candy, please.

Beth Ann WINS THE INTERNET! (for the second day in a row ...)

That is fabulous! I'd do a minimal outfit and let this be the star!

Raji, haha! I know what you mean!

Raji

I hope hubs didn't buy my dowry at chicos.

Pretty but a lot !

bj1111, I hope not either!

Crazyone those are awesome necklaces. Actually in a certain zone of Portugal there is also a tradition of putting all the gold for weddings.

LOL! You ladies kill me!

I'd fear that the weight of it would make small busted me even more small busted! Ouch!

I actually really like it. With an otherwise simple outfit, why not!

Audrey Hepburn does Mr. T!

I think it beautiful and yes I would.

Beth Ann, I have a vague childhood memory of necklaces made of small candies strung like beads.....you could literally just put the beads in your mouth and bite a few off and then let the rest of the necklace do it's thing as "jewelry"....do you remember those? Wonder if they still exist, that would be what you need

Well Angie, I think it will do for a start.

Blingy and maximal, indeed. I could work out until next holiday season and still not have a neck that would willingly support that... Some jewelry is great as art or sculpture, just on its own. Fun to see this, Angie.

I think it's fantastic and has my name all over it! No such thing as too much bling
