I've been about 50-50 lately, alternating between my tall Docs and my ankle Fryes.

My ankle booties have been edging of my tall boots lately, but I still love them all. My mid-height boots seem to be getting a little short shrift lately.

In answer to the question up thread, I wear boots and booties with socks or tights, never barefoot.

I am still weraing both heights but have been reaching for the booties more. They are so easy to slip on and off, no zippers!

In answer to Deb, I wear socks or tights with booties (and boots). The only exception is with my Report booties, which I also wear in slightly warmer temperatures without socks. They are padded on the tops inside so can be worn this way with comfort and the wide opening allows air to circulate. Otherwise, in my climate of extremes, it just doesn't work to wear booties without tights....it is too cold! And most boots and booties are simply too hot to wear when it is warn enough to go without leg covering.

It is definitely boot season here. If I'm attending some sort of function I tend to wear ankle boots. Errand running, kids activities = mid calf or tall flat boots. If I have to be outside for more than I couple minutes I break out the Sorels or the La Canadiennes. We have a ton of snow here already.

I don't have any mid calf boots. Booties and tall boots get an even amount of attention from me though.

Well, if you don't count the wellies that I wear nearly every darned day, then I'd have to say I'm more into short boots at the moment, too.

Yes. Tall boots are repulsing me right now. Half-boots are what I want.
