Here’s mine:

-Drop snowboard mitts (shovelling snow, walks)
-Danier leather fleece lined mitts (long walks below -10 degC)
-Inexpensive (but warm) faux suede/knit combination gloves for temps around freezing (repurposed in spring as gardening gloves. The extra padding is welcomed when doing spade and shovel work and they are machine washable)
-black lined gloves (the lining is worn thin and these need replacing)
-merlot lined gloves (new in 2021)

I wear both mittens and gloves. Even out here in the warmish wet coast, I sometimes need mitts for my long walks because I have Reynauld's.

My mitts are not particularly stylish -- they are charcoal waterproof stuff with a warm soft flannel lining (as well as interior quilting of some kind) and they have a faux fur cuff, which is actually an irritant to me because it limits whether I can wear them over or under my coat cuff (only over) and I dislike not having that option.

I also own multiple pairs of gloves. One very thin merino in navy that doubles as a liner (but they have developed a hole that may not be darn-able -- darn!!!!). One thicker red wool with leather palm. One black leather dress glove with lining. (I would prefer red or fuchsia but do not currently own a pair because I don't have enough dressy occasions to warrant the expense). One lined red knit. Two pairs of polypropolene "gear" gloves. One leather glove for biking in cold weather.

In my dream world, I'd have a navy waterproof mitt, at least one dressy leather glove in a bright colour, and a couple more of the merino versions -- they are surprisingly good.

I keep it minimal with one pair of cashmere blend lined leather gloves and one pair of gear "snow mitts".

I came across these recently while checking out this website as a possible source of Canadian made, and thought the point about moose and dear hides staying more soft and supple in the cold was interesting, as well as being Ontario made, but it's hard to spend more than $40 or so items that get lost as easily as mittens and gloves! The snow mittens I buy also have features like wrist straps, which I usually forget to use, and little hook and eye (?) bits to attach them to each other which I do use.

My winter gloves/mittens must work for dog walking. That means the palm needs to be leather to hold the leash. I have a pair of black gloves with Thinsulate lining for warmer winter days, but I wear mittens once the real winter comes.
I have a pair of shearling mittens, leather fleece mittens and down mittens. I don't think about the colour, just how warm they are.

Like so many of the comments, mine are black leather with cashmere lining and I wear them all winter. I’m phasing black out, so I’m now looking to replace them with navy or camel, but this time, without touchscreen pads. Those toushscreen pads let the cold in, and I end up taking a glove off to text anyway. I would love to find green leather gloves with cashmere lining, but it seems to be the most elusive color of this glove type.

I need gloves for walking the dog on the "wet coast" and find Icebreaker gloves to be the most comfortable and warmest. I do go to cashmere lined leather gloves for driving for the comfort and grip aspect.

I am a gloves person. Most of my gloves are cashmere-lined leather. Because my hands are large, finding ones that fit is more important than the color, but I do have some beautiful colors (thank you, Nordstrom).

My gloves that are NOT cashmere-lined leather are a pair of Nike gloves I bought years ago. They might be running gloves? I found them in a ski shop and bought them for cross-country skiing. They're stretchy and warm but not WARM warm -- they expect the person wearing them to be active and not need an extreme degree of warmth -- and are a men's size S/M (which is similar to an XL or sized 8.5 women's glove). I use them for walking the dog, shoveling the sidewalk, skiing, hiking, sledding, etc etc. Any cold-weather activity where dressy is not a priority, those gloves are with me.

Ugg gloves! I have three pair. All shearling lined. Super warm and easy to drive with them on. I also have about 3 pairs of mittens-each pair is wool with fleece lining (not Ugg brand). Mostly wear those on walks.

I need to wear glittens mostly, because my hands are very small and gloves usually are much too long in the fingers. Also, I like quick finger access for my phone and anything else I need to manipulate more carefully. I do have regular gloves but will try to phase them out over time, except for one texting pair that kind of fits okay.

I bought a red leather pair with cashmere linings in the Netherlands a few years ago. German brand - Roeckl. Love them!

And my Kate Spades have fleece linings. I wear those the least - black - but keep them any way.

Mine are functional gloves only - mostly worn for early morning walking, rugby games etc... We have a shared basket and pull them out as needed.

I do have a couple of pairs of fingerless merino gloves I occasionally wear as well - good on an icy morning at work.

I can’t find my favorite pair! They must be around somewhere. I’ve been thinking I should start looking for replacements, because they’ll eventually wear out.
Here’s what I have:
1. Favorites. Very simple, stretchy black yarn knit gloves that have little rubber bumps all over palms & inside fingers so I can grip.

2. Electric blue suede gloves, found at TK Maxx last year. Are near-perfect match to my new jacket. They are long and cover my wrists. I love them for being ott in an unobnoxious way, if that’s possible.

3. lined, sorta stretchy leopard-print gloves with fluffy faux fur.

4. Big navy mittens knit of yarn in a way that makes them super-thick and much warmer than most yarn mittens. I’ve had them since middle school. My son wears them. Sadly, they’re getting holes between thumb and palm, so must be replaced.

5. Cream-colored mittens that match my cream winter hat, with fun fluffy faux fur on each.

6. Black yarn gloves that have little caps I can button back or pull over my fingers to make mittens. Fun, good for using phone outside, but can be more fuss than I want to deal with. Decently warm because of 2 layers.

I want to get some that have the metallic threads so I can use my phone with them on.

Whatever glittens are, I want a pair - LOL.

Why don’t I use my muff regularly? I’m going to!

LisaP, pretty sure glittens are what I described in my #6. Can be pretty convenient!

I want a muff. I had a rabbit fur one in grade school that kept me warm. They would also work with phones better than any gloves.
