Synne, you know me well and have some great points. It’s actually nearly 100% sustainable cotton, but you might be onto something with the balance of items in my wardrobe.
There is one very particular use I’m thinking of for this dress. I liked it when I saw it last spring, but then when my son and I were on our bike trip, another group pulled into camp. They all wore de rigueur bike shorts, probably with chamois, but I wasn’t looking that closely. One women looked especially like she was having fun though. Instead of a T-shirt, she had on a sundress with tiers. I complimented her on it & she said she had intended to wear it just around campsites in the evening, but it was so comfy she had tried the combo while they were riding a couple days ago, and was sticking with it. A sundress wouldn’t work for me that way, but this would protect my shoulders from the burn I’m prone to get. (I’m talking European sun, so not blazing, but even here I got burned in July 2 years ago). Now, my son and I have one trip planned next summer and then after that, who knows. I hope to get together with him for trips once or twice a year, but who knows? So if I get it, I’ve got to be happy tossing it on for a weekend excursion or to the grocery or otherwise in daily life.
