I found these “Hollywood “ side-zip flat-front pants at Talbots. I was amazed that they were full-length with even a bit of scrunch. They have the little ankle side slits.

My work pants goal is to update from the fairly wide trouser leg that most of my pants have. Slimmer but straight trouser & a tapered slouchy are goals but haven’t found those yet.

They’re slim for me, but may be considered “straight”; I think the tapered ankles breathe new life into my flats, plus I can use oxfords; tops all have to be out with these pants, but it is not too hard to remix or add some volume-tops.

My idea is that even though they're not the new "slouchy pants," these are a form of update on what I’ve got for work and is a style that still has some “legs” to it. Unless this is actually going backwards in fashion.
