The other day I had lunch with a big group of former colleagues (all “retirees” but they have started inviting me to their quarterly luncheons even though I was just a long-term employee — I worked with many of them for almost ten years!). It was so lovely to reconnect, and it also put me in an area I hadn’t visited in a while, so I took the opportunity to look in a couple of local shops across from the restaurant. Oh my, such temptation! There were some good sales. But the purchase that I could least resist was quite unexpected.
These slingback flats from INK shoes (a brand I hadn’t heard of before) called to me as they are classic but with a twist that makes them a little edgy-pretty. And they are super comfortable! The leather is buttery soft, which seems to be very rare in shoes these days.

So, they came home with me and I’ll be breaking them out as soon as spring temps make them appealing!
