Happy 13th birthday YLF!! This has been my daily place for fashion fun and positivism for over 9 years now. I can't believe that if took me 9 months to muster the courage to even read what was going on in the forum after discovering the blog.

So much to like and appreciate here:

  • The easy site navigation made possible by the engineering genius, Greg.
  • The inspiring blog links by Inge who, by the way, has the quickest trigger finger to find any wardrobe item you need on the internet.
  • Then there is dapper Sam, who looks adorable in bows, capes, collars, or even a turquoise wig. This little guy can do no wrong!
  • The daily blog posts by wonderful Angie. How she manages to have a successful career AND be able to submit a daily post WHILE nurturing us in the forum IN ADDITION TO managing two households in two different states ALL THE WHILE making time to frequently visit her sweet PAPA in another country....is beyond me!! Angie is AMAZING!!

Thanks April for starting this anniversary thread and it also reminds me to renew my Patron membership!

Oh, let's not forget our next favorite thing to discuss besides fashion...the food! I'm bringing Lumpia (Filipino egg rolls) and Pancit (rice noodles with vegetables, chicken, and shrimp).

I appreciate having the gang here back me on our latest adventure. I haven’t told many people irl about it. After being such a mess for so long, I wanted to get things set up right here before making a big announcement. It’s not going as well as I hoped—I’m not giving up, am just recognizing that becoming fully functional again in a flash was too much to expect. So my family knows, as do a few friends—and YLF. Thanks, Angie & everybody, for the encouragement & support getting back on track, with style.

Helena beautifully captured the sentiments of many of us. TG thank you for your words of wisdom and wonder.
Happy Birthday, YLF! My own words will not be adequate to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful, supportive community you have developed and maintained here. It is no secret that the knowledge of fashion, trends, fit and persoanlization found here and shared so generously by Angie are unsurpassed.
The Fabbers here are an amazing and unique group. Led by Angie’s example, the YLFab family is incredibly supportive, thoughtful, helpful and generous. Coming here every day feels like coming home.

Happy Birthday YLF! I don’t have the right words to express how much this forum has helped me over the past few years. I see the same happening for others as well. kudos to Angie, Greg, Inge and of course Sam for maintaining/curating a high quality, supportive forum that supersedes all others! I've said it a thousand times already (and mean it from the bottom of my heart every time;-): YLF and the YLF community are one of a kind!!! There is no other community on the internet that is so supportive, kind, inclusive, thoughtful and just utterly brilliant!! I feel so lucky to have found YLF all those years ago (still pinch myself sometimes that I am now part of the team;-) and feel very grateful and happy to have "met" all of you: I've learnt so much from each and every one of you over the years, and the times your posts have made me smile or really think are countless.

Here's to many more years!!-)

A favorite YLF moment from many years ago. Someone posted a photo of a stunning outfit and Angie responded "Orbit launch. Zooming around the room."

Mr. April - who at the time was not my husband and was spoken of on the forum as "SO" (Significant Other) - always used to ask who had received the coveted "killer to the power of killer" designation.

Happy Birthday, YLF! This site has done so much for me, my wardrobe, and my confidence. Over the years. Angie and the community here have taught me so much about enjoying fashion, feeling great in the body I have, and how to dress for myself.
