Definitely worth the wait! It really looks like it was meant to be yours!

What more can I add? You know you love it. It loves you back. It is amazing with the pink!!! Will it be hemmed in time to go to Banff?

I don't think I can have it hemmed in time, Jeanne. It's probably too dressy for the venue anyway. I am going to bring the Reiss jacket, though. It will dress up my jeans outfits enough.

You're right - it does look better on you than on the model, and it looks fantastic IRL! I loved it on you in the store, and I love every way you've styled it here.

<happy sigh> I am SOOOO happy I did not "give up" on you getting this beauty, Suz!
It is an incredible suit for you and I agree with Angie that the color is more unique than the navy suit - and it is YOUR color. It was a lucky strike to pop into that store even when we were all so tired. <another happy sigh>
I KNEW it would work with practically everything in your closet and look how gorgeous are these Pliner booties with it. <more happy sighs>

Late to this, but amazingly killer fab of a workhorse x2! Enjoy!:-)

Suz as well as echoing the forum's approbation I want to add that this thread has reinforced for me the value of PPP and strengthened my resolve to seek quality and fit.

Sensational! The color is gorgeous on you and it is so versatile. Yay!

This outfit and you are Drop. Dead. Gorgeous.

Yay you finally found YOUR suit. And it was so worth the wait. That color is divine on you, I like it even better than blues. And the structure in these pieces, looks timeless. What a find, I'm so glad you waited for this piece!

Looks great! BTW, when did you buy this? I don't remember seeing you try it on. Did you go to Tahari after Diana and I left?

WOW how exciting, Suz! I've been dying to see this lovely on you since it was hinted at. Does not disappoint. I really love how the blazer looks with the BF outfits, super! You may also need to have the knee break brought up just a touch (hard to tell from the photos, but #6 makes me think it's worth looking at).

Aida, thanks....there really is no knee break on the pants. They are perfectly straight. They're just too long in the photos. I may have to have them tapered a bit, in fact, because "straights" can read as "boot cuts" or even "wides" on me. I know Sveta did that to great success with her straight leg trousers so I may be hiring her mother to do the deed!

C1, thank you -- I did indeed buy it after you and Diana left. We stopped in the Tahari store and I came away with this suit and Janet came away with a gorgeous top! I can't believe on our last stop I found my suit.

Woohoo! Yep, this is The One. I love it. Your PPP paid off, big time.

Taupe didn't sound fun when you said it first. But wow! This suit was made for you!!! What beautiful fit on you! *Doing a happy dance for you*

I'm so happy for you, Suz. The perfect suit! The fit, color, appropriate for so many occasions and pieces that can be styled separately for a different look. It also fits with your style simplicity and urban prince persona.

Suz! I think this cafe colour should be your new neutral! It works very well with your colouring! Also - the suit DOES look better on you than the model. You're totally working those pieces! I can see these being wardrobe workhorses because of the neutral tone and the cut of the jacket and pants.

Isn't Sveta amazing? She encouraged me to get the white Ann Taylor Loft jacket (another overdue WIW) and the flared jeans (too bad the faded blue didn't work with the rest of my wardrobe). She just has this talent for seeing what looks good on others!

On a side note, you mentioned how the suit looks better on you than the model. It really is true, and it's interesting how that is, because we often tend to assume how models look better in these clothes. Your statement reminded me of when the YLF Toronto gang went into Club Monaco and noticed how the outfit Emily tried on looked better on her than the model! In the end, I think it boils down to you guys wearing the same style that's more flattering on you (than the model) and also, you bring personality into the outfits (because a model's job is to display clothes after all).

Anyway, I rambled but I thought what you said was just so interesting!

Like this suit I am better late than never! Absolutely perfect and so much better on you than the model. I am awed. Truly glad you waited for this to come along.

Late to this too -- what a gorgeous suit! It suits you to a T, if I may say it.

I wonder how many of us, inspired by your example, have added to our shopping lists "perfect fitting, high quality, versatile, updated suit in my best neutral?" I thought my current life was too casual to justify a suit, but now I need one!

Another late one...how did I miss this? LOVE the suit. So perfect for you. It is just gorgeous with the subtle but cool detail of the zipper.
