It's given me a lot to think about - the colour suggestions have been extremely helpful.
Angie, it's the Charles Tyrwhitt pussybow you linked to in January - it's sold out so I can't link to it (I tried). I will try to sort a photo tomorrow, time permitting.
I have realised that although I don't have grey or tartan pants, and white jeans still scare me (for practical reasons, especially after a rainy English summer as we move into a rainy English autumn...), I can put a grey or cream pullover over the top successfully - I really hadn't thought of either of those, and my new grey biker jacket works in some ways too. Success!
Thank you for the lovely compliment about my hair, Angie, although I'm not sure I've noticed these - perhaps it's a reflection of the light or some natural sun effects from the occasional sunny days!
