Love the idea of men’s socks - I tried to get patterned trouser socks to wear with ankle pants and loafers last year but found they don’t really exist for women and those that do are too short, showing bare leg when you sit/cross your leg.

I find on the whole I like to wear a full-length narrow pant with my interesting booties. I will occasionally wear a skirt or dress, and tights, with a bootie but more likely to wear tall boots with the skirt or dress. Almost all my boots are fairly flat. Suz’s are too high for me.

Everyone has said it: I find the black very black, and the gaps at the top of both detractors - although I feel the short booties work with the white and a very tapered leg. Filling in the gaps with socks or boot cuffs would make them better.
