Style is creative and that makes it a challenge. Thoughtful. Why do some things please the eye and others not? Why do some things please my eye and not yours? It’s the art and science of dressing.

I always think about the Ancient Greeks and their highly developed theories of beauty and aesthetics. Esp columns... a good Greek column is not perfectly straight up and down: it bows out in the middle. This is because of the nature of optics and optical illusion. They went deep, the Greeks

I suspect some of the answer lies in one's history with a style or print. I dislike ditsy florals which many here like. I think they remind me of what I saw old ladies wearing when I was a child. I connect them with looking elderly.

Yes, it is a big amount of science there in (like the golden ratio operating as a universal law, etc.) and then...there is the personalized taste and gusto, too!:-)

So is Hair Styling .... Mixing art and science to create something pleasing to the eye ...with every eye discerning /determining what is exactly pleasing to their eye .
