Hi Beth Ann, I thought I did not have anything to contribute to this excellent and well thought out post, but it turns out I do I am a big fan of 1930s American movies. There is a book called "Those Glorious Glamour Years" by Margaret Bailey that is dedicated to Hollywood fashion in the 1930s. I highly recommend it. It is a wonderful book for inspiration or just to keep on your coffee table. You might pick it up second hand or on Amazon. I look forward to seeing how your style evolves
