Update and clarification:
I was finally able to find the jeans somewhere else. We will see if they get here, but I was frustrated because I've been waiting for them for 2 weeks and now have to wait again.
I was pleased that Nordstrom's customer service was willing to refund the money without making me jump through tons of hoops like other retailers sometimes do. However, my rep was extremely slow today, which didn't help with the frustration. I have no idea what is up with the gift card-- I called because I hoped they would be able to figure out who it really belonged to, but no dice. I can't believe they want me to pay (extra postage) and mail it back to them. Amazon did something similar once and I got to keep the item even though it was far pricier than $18.
I'm really irritated with UPS. We have a long history of mail being stolen by postal employees at our local post office, but I've never had issues with this before.
