Um, you could try to give it a loose clipping ... my hair is straight ... so I don't really have the flatten problem. I sometimes braid my hair to give it a bit more OOMPH but it just brushes right out. So annoying.

I vote longish bob. It's going to look sensational - and Mama will probably love it. All grown up. xo

I like the sideswept hair look! I think you'd look really great with shorter hair as well. I'm in a hair rut too...I've let mine grow out a bit again because I like the idea of having long hair, but it probably does look better short. After I get it cut, I always think "this is way better! I should always have it shorter like this!" But then as it grows out, I somehow forget, or don't believe my old self that shorter was better. (My profile pic to the left was taken last year, right after one of those cuts).

Did you notice a big difference with the way you looked/felt after the new bra size? I also was following Angie's list and measured myself yesterday. I wasn't too too far off (according to my calculations, I'm a 34C...was previously wearing a mix of 38B and 36C). I tried on a bunch of 34Cs at Victoria's Secret last night (only went there because I had a gift card), and the 34Cs were giving me back-fat issues. The sales girl suggested I try a "sister size" of 36B, and that did seem better. So I'm pretty excited about the new bra, and the prospect of more future better-fitting bras.

Sorry, didn't mean to make the post about myself, just wanted to say that I can relate to the "updates and upgrades" you're working on, because I am too! Also, I love that twist on the hoodie!

Hey amerlizabeth!! Sorry for the short reply; I am at work on my iPhone so...

About the hair. I love short hair. I rocked what I called "The Angie" in medical school and then it turned into a weird bangs thing. I found there was a lot of opposition to short hair, and I don't have the energy to fight it right now. I guess it just kind of grew out on me too!

The bras size thing: I think sister sizes work to fix particular issues. The SA told me that I could look for a 32D for a 30E and I tried them both on. They both solve my major issues for me which is good, but I think the 30E stays in place better through the day.

I haven't tried VS bras, but I would try another brand and multiple styles before "back fat" is a reason to not wear that size. I think it's mainly due to cut and placement of the strap as opposed to size. Not sure about this as I don't have personal experience.

I am sure others on the forum probably do though! It's common enough!

Good luck and welcome!

Go Lyn! Revisiting the most important things is always time well spent!

It would be possible to keep your hair in the longest bob possible --- just grazing the shoulders, and still put it up when needed. Also, I could see a rich, sophisticated barette gathering your hair at the nape of your neck. This is an essential step for me now. Being of a certain age means that I need a more polished pony that I used to have! In your case, I'd just see it as your "work" pony.

I did go back and look at some of your old blog posts to check out your short hair, which I thought looked great. I especially like the late 2012, early 2013 length/style. I'm with Beth Ann, in that I like to go as short as possible while still being able to put it in a ponytail. (I think it's time for me to schedule a haircut!)

Re: bras... I tried some more on at TJ Maxx today (Maidenform, Bali...) and the sizing did feel similar, so I opted to get another 36B ($9.99, woooo). Back fat usually isn't an issue for me, so perhaps I measured myself wrong yesterday!

I'm looking forward to seeing any updates with your hair!
