Spring Boots - YouLookFab Forum

Hi Ladies,

I have been a little quieter than usual but still trying to catch everyone's posts. We are at the tail end of Bendigo Fashion Festival with one more event tomorrow and then I am looking forward to posting my outfits and some pics from the events.

But in the meantime I am really wanting some Spring Booties particularly to wear with skirts and dresses.

#1 are the booties I already have (ignore outfit this combo has not been worn out of the house) Being a lace up I am not feeling these boots with dresses.

#2 - #6 are the options I have been looking at. I was initially looking at #4 but one thing led to another.

My original thought was a light colored boot, but I am quite enaboured with #2 & 3 and I wonder if either of these could play as a neutral?

As you know I have a lot of black in my wardrobe covering all the seasons so I do wear black in Spring. These all have a light wooden heel which I find very appealing giving the boots a softer look for Spring wear.

Would love to know your thoughts on these.. and I am not limited to one pair, I could buy two!

I love the dress with top in the first picture but agree a different booties without laces might be even better. I do love #4, but it is also nice in red - not sure this is exactly your red though - hard to tell in the picture. I am also attracted to #5. And the blue is awfully pretty too...

Well, since you're not limited to one pair, I would definitely go with one pair that bookends your hair and lengthens the leg - and I like 4 or 6 the best. After that, it's a toss up, but only because I've seen you wear so much black and white, and either cobalt or red would be fab with black and white. Great looking shoes, by the way!

Deborah, did you post about your MCing at the fashion event already? If so, somehow I missed it. I hope it went well!!

I love the idea of one neutral and one bright coloured bootie, if you are not limited to one. I felt the same as Shevia; wasn't sure the red was "your" red from the pics, but I guess the proof is in the boot! As for the neutrals, any of them could work, so I would say try them on and pick the most comfortable version.

Suz, the fashion parade was last Tuesday night but I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to post anything. So I am waiting till next week when all our events are done and I will post about it.

I have a pair of cobalt booties that I get a billion compliments on and I always feel like a million bucks when I wear them! (:

I do think #4 will go with a lot though.

So if you can get more than one, I'd go with #2 and #4!

(For additional bootie-related information, I also have a pair of red booties. They don't get as much wear as the cobalt ones, for what its worth!)

I love #2 and #4 - I have cobalt Aerosole booties and they go with so many things. And of course, you can't go wrong with a neutral bootie like #4. Are you able to do two pairs Deb?

#2 because I love the idea of black & blue or blue & white for you & #5 because they look funky yet elegant & a little more "springy" than the others. Always with the proviso - If they weren't comfy I wouldn't buy them because I turn into crabby old lady VERY quickly if my feet are sore.

2, 3 , or 4 depending on comfort. I am sure there will be lots more rain in Spring so you will get plenty of wear.

2 and either 4 or 5. I think you would look great in a sexy peep toe boot - but needs to feel comfortable as well.
