I have something similar I got several years ago at Ann Taylor, in black, and it is wildly flattering, which is a nice trick on a short human inclined to be round.

It is just a rectangle of fabric, folded, and partially seamed on one side, so it folds up to nothing and packs really well. It occurred to me that for a lot of us, this might be a useful piece to transition into fall. There are a couple of different fabrications, and I'm thinking of adding a second one.
