speaking of sizing

Recently size charts were being discussed. I had to laugh at this. I'm a size 4. Looks like I have 3 choices to pick from with these jeans. Only my size has 3 choices, the others overlap from one size to another. WTH? Lucky me? http://www.saksfifthavenue.com.....0002179542

Ugh, don't get me started! Places often lump all kinds of sizes into XS petite--when I check the size chart, XSP can mean a 0, 2, or 4. Now, there's certainly not much difference between a 0 and a 4, is there? Grrr....

Oh no, sizes 0-4 all fall into "too tiny to possibly have fit issues" for some places. Can be so frustrating. :T

Ugh, you don't even want to get me started on this. I tried on 10 pairs of pants, all in the same size (4). I discovered that to fit, I needed 3 pairs in a size up, and 2 pairs in a size down. They didn't even MAKE the ones I loved in a size 2, the size 6 in one pair was still too small, and the other 6 was miles larger than the 4 had been. I tried several more and finally, 14 pairs later, I left with a pair of size 3s from the juniors department that I can barely button, but make me look awesome. I just want to go in and buy a size. I know that not every body is shaped the same, so I know that each cut or style may fit differently, but I am beginning to develop a real dislike for whoever devises these size standards.

Oh, yeah, size discrepancies have been all over the map forever. I've just never seen a size chart where a size 4 was listed under three different correlating sizes. And yet no other size is given the same treatment. Weirdest sizing anomaly yet.

This is frustrating beyond belief! I recently wanted to order a sweater from Neiman Marcus and was so frustrated from looking at their size charts I finally called their customer service number. Neiman Marcus seems to have at least two different sizing systems, classic and modern. After over 30 minutes on the phone, during which the NM person had to consult with her supervisor at least 3 times, she finally said she had no idea what size I should order. This was after I had given her my exact measurements!

So I ordered both a small and a medium. With free shipping and free returns, what did I have to lose? Well, guess what? I ended up sending both of them back!
