You've gotten some great suggestions already, so I've nothing new to add there but encouragement. Have fun with it! I'm sure whatever you do will look great. I could also see a little darker working well for you.

I sympathize on the wavy hair dilemma. I'm less inclined to fight mine and blow it out fully these days. I mostly blow dry the bangs and the roots at the top of my head to encourage a little fullness and shape, and let the rest air dry so it ends up wavy. Some days it works better than others, but not much I can do about that!

I think you would look great with dark hair Mary K, but I will say that if you have any gray/white underneath (I do on top) the roots show FAST. Having a mix of highlights near the part line helps hide them for longer though.

I do love a do thread!
Can't wait to see the new cut MK- my hair is wavy-but not curly too.

I love the suggestions so far, especially Anna's to embrace your waves! I love the site http://www.naturallycurly.com for good info, tips, etc. It's information overload in the beginning, though. I started with the book The Curly Girl and moved onto the curly forum from there.

I have no advice , but I look forward to seeing what you choose.

Rabbit, I went to blonde because of the roots. I wouldn't go overall dark. Just take the blonde a little darker, if you know what I mean. Maybe some lowlights.

Well I am still wearing my angled bob if that helps, it's just getting long I was thinking along the lines of the cut Una posted (a choppy angled bob) but with a long front so you're not fighting with bangs. I love Angie's idea of going a bit darker, too. Can't wait to see what you end up with!

I have trained my hair to stay off my face, glasses or not. I think your stylist is the best person to advise as to the PITA factor of any cut for you, but I would love to see a darker shade of blonde.
