As always, I am in awe of your ability to see the creative potential of a piece of clothing, and to reshape and re-color it to something that suits you so very well!

As a lover of all things MCM Hawaiiana + Polynesian, I'm dying over the print dress-turned skirt.

The ocean colors, and the scarf at the waist are *chef's kiss*.

Here is the dress folded into a skirt. It might be a little too wide - I am putting high summer pieces into storage and will look at this again in spring and see what I will do.

Sal, it look ls good to me. You need width to make it work. Usually with a dress I encounter the opposite problem - there’s not enough width in the bodice for it to fit comfortably on the hips when I slide it down. For reference the aqua dress that I bought to turn into a skirt was 4 sizes larger than my usual (dress) size. But, as I said, you will get some pleating around the waist.

Thanks Mary Beth. I wore the brown skirt to the gym last night and a couple of people commented on how beautiful it was. I directed them to Target

I love how these turned out, and I love that the source material was clearance rack items that might have gone to waste if no one had bought them.

SAL I love your dress in third pic with the tied shirt
