Oh Isabel now THAT is an adventure and a half. You are a wonderful woman, truly. I'm so glad to hear that amidst the craziness you all, hubby and son included, found ways to enjoy yourselves. Always making the most of the situations presented! I am bummed your daughter had to miss out on the snorkeling though, that's one of my favorite things in all the world. When you make it back there again, definitely try to go! You won't regret it, it's magical.

I HATE being sick when traveling, not so much for the losing vacation aspect but because it's so much harder than being at home where everything is comfortable, familiar, and more readily available. The last vacation we too this past New Years, I caught something nasty towards the end and of course passed it on to hubby shortly afterwards, so we spent our 2 days at the Grand Canyon sick as all get-out. I also looked cute, and hey I have to say that's a good enough pick-me-up on its own, isn't it? ^^

If your son appreciates commiseration stories, you can tell him a good one of mine: I used to get fairly panicky about flying because I have motion sickness. On our honeymoon we went to Maui, and on the way back they split our seats up... Long story short I might be on that airline's "crazy wife who really needs to be seated next to her husband or else she freaks out" list now

At least you remembered to bring your pants this time! (Or did you...)

What an ordeal! You definitely need a nice relaxing vacation after this.

But I gotta say you are so good at making lemonade from lemons. Better than anyone else I know. You are such an amazing and selfless person. I'm in awe.

BM - thank you , that is just so humbling to me !

Aida, I laughed so hard at your last comment. That is a whole other list for TSA ! LOL I am going to tell him, it will make him feel better. My son's and husband's tickets are good for a year, so the plan is that he will take my daughter to Maui and his brother will join them from LA and they will all go together. And the airlines will be kind enough to transfer my son's ticket to my daughter. It will happen !

Diana ! hahahahahahahaa...yes, that was a real upside this time around ! Always look on the bright side. : )

Sorry I didn't explain: "purse-cuted" is when ladies bump me with their large and substantial purses. Thank you for replying! You are so cute, and I mean inside and out.

WOW. What an ordeal. I'm so sorry about your son and all the sickness once in HI. You are such a wonderful and sweet person to spend your vacation taking care of others. And I'm glad to hear you remembered to pack your PJ's

Me thinks you need another vacation, or a stress break perhaps? I highly recommend that I drive out to Boston and we spend some time shopping

Karie, PastrtGirl has also offered to help me "relax " in Boston. We should definitely do something. I haven't seen Mocchi in a while and Beth L can get here too.....yes !!!! : )

OMG what a trip!!! I know you were looking forward to it, so I'm glad that it didn't disappoint you overall. (Sorry for the quick/short response)

Good heavens! I can't even... Wow. You definitely need a vacation... And a Medal of Honor.

Isabel, you are one classy lady to get through highs and lows like that and hold your head high in the end. What a vacation!
