Ok. Here is my review. It's long but I know I find detailed shoe review super helpful so I'm offering a very detailed review here.
The color is definitely somewhere between silver and gold, and looks different depending on the light, just as others said. The front part is more of a sparkly metallic and the ankle strap area is a flat bone/nude color. (It comes in other color combinations too). I usually go for warm neutrals but in summer I wear more cool colors than in winter (like blue) so this color is just right.
What I look for in sandals: My summers are 3-4 months long, and mostly hot and humid. I'm retired and we mostly don't use our home AC unless it's really unbearable outside. For everyday, I wear flat sandals from mid June through late September. Occasionally I wear ones with small heels for social events. I mostly wear slacks, crops, or Bermuda shorts, and very occasionally a skirt or dress. I don't have particularly fussy feet but need a good amount of padding and arch support and shoes that feel secure on my feet. With extremely rare exceptions I cannot wear slides, mules, or flip flops because they fall off my low volume feet and make me feel like I'm going to twist my ankle or miss the brake on my car. I do need to be able to wear sandals for a lot of walking, but it's driving-around-doing-errands or shopping mall walking, not city walking. I do not wear sandals for exercise walking, I stick with running shoes for that
I have flat sandals in black, white, and brown, and wanted to add a metallic his year. I was also hoping for a bit more modern and polished look than some of the sporty ones I have.
These Soffts are super comfortable after a few hours of wearing. The straps are soft and do not rub. They have a good amount of cushioning and arch support but not the stiff arches of Naots or Birk's which I find uncomfortable. As I said earlier the fastening is velcro, the buckle is purely decorative. This is great because velcro is more adjustable than a buckle! The toe straps are a tiny bit loose but that's ok because we haven't hit the hottest days yet and feet do swell in the heat. They are also a bit more modern and less sporty than some of my other ones, which is just what I wanted. I also find they look pretty on the foot, not at all clunky which can be the case with some wide strap sandals.
They seem TTS. I usually wear a 6 1/2 in sandals and that's what I got.
KEEPERS!!!
FINDS: the first are the new sofft ones, the others are the rest of my collection. A few of the black ones are fairly old and will need replacing soon...maybe it's time to add another color....
Karen13, in a M width these seem to fit my regular width feet well. The don't seem to be available in W. I find Born's in M to be very comfortable. I don't know how to advise you on whether these would fit your D feet, but they are certainly not too narrow for my Medium width feet. Angie did say "not for very wide feet"....
will add photos later...
